San Francisco: Panoramic Skyline
“WOW” is what I said to myself when this baby popped out of my panoramic software earlier this week!
It’s stitched together from 14 RAW files from my Nikon D800 that were shot hand-held from a moving boat. Now, add in the moving water between each frame and the fact that this image stitched together at all is nearly unbelievable to me! It super sharp and "clean" though, without any of the ghosting that appears in a badly stitched panoramic.
The full-size image is 16-bit and measures 28,924 x 4495 pixels! It could be printed 8 feet long at 300dpi or 11 feet wide at 150dpi… without resizing or interpolation!
